AADD Across the Air Force
We've started up a new project which we're calling AADD Across the Air Force, which aims to make it easier to get in touch with each branch of AADD at other bases, maybe even sister service equivalents eventually, as well as give the different AADDs out there the means to work together and share ideas on what works and what doesn't.
If you'd like to help out with this project we are looking for information on the other AADD Orgs out there. Please click this link.
If you are here because of this project, and you are a member of one of the other AADDs out there, and you want to help out on this project, please register for the site here and send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. letting us know what your username is and we'll set you up with access to an area in the forum on this site made specifically for the different AADD Councils to work together.
Why our site and not yours? Well, our site isn't sharepoint, and it's a lot easier to register here and be granted access than it is for every single other AADD site to set everyone else up with access to their sharepoint. That, and here we aren't limited by sharepoint.
Changes to Volunteering
Starting in November we will no longer be requiring drivers to be male or female as far as registrations go. We've asked many of the people we've picked up over the years and no one has cared whether or not their driver was a male or a female, they were all more interested in simply getting home (assuming they were coherent enough to talk). Thus, out with the old, in with the new, if you want to drive for us, look for just "Driver" on the calendar starting in November.
The Connection is now Optional
In order to make volunteering with Offutt's Airmen Against Drunk Driving more accessible to everyone, we have decided to make reporting to The Connection at Whiteman Hall optional, effective immediately. Instead we will be switching to having the Dispatcher call Drivers at the beginning of thier shift to confirm they are available to volunteer that night. But the Connection will be open if you wish have a place to hang out as you wait for calls.
Again, you do not have to report to the connection. You do however have to be available to carry out the duties you volunteered for, as always.
